* Lecture on Plastic Pollution: Mr. Vinayak Desai (President, Laxmi Foundation, Garjan) delivered an insightful session regarding the detrimental effects of plastic on ecosystems. He emphasized the long-term impact of microplastics on soil and water health and urged the youth to lead the change.
* Lecture on Plastic Waste Management: Mr. Nishant Kamble (District Sanitation Mission Expert, Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur) provided practical solutions for managing plastic waste at the source. He discussed the "3Rs" (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and shared successful models of waste segregation and disposal utilized at the district level.
Note: Mr. Sharad Ajagekar (Deputy Manager, Kirloskar Oil Engines) was unable to attend the session.
