Introduction:
The Department of Botany, Shri Yashwantrao Patil Science College, Solankur, successfully organized a "Bouquet and Floral Rangoli Making Competition" on 24th March, 2025. This event aimed to foster creativity, promote the use of botanical materials in artistic expression, and enhance the students' understanding of floral diversity. The programme provided a platform for the B. Sc. III students to showcase their artistic skills and knowledge of plant materials.
Objectives:
* To encourage students to utilize botanical resources in creative ways.
* To promote awareness of floral diversity and its aesthetic potential.
* To develop students' artistic and design skills.
* To foster teamwork and collaboration among students.

Event Details:
The programme commenced at 10:00 AM in the Botany Department's laboratory. A total of 9 B. Sc. III students, participated in the event. The students were provided with a variety of fresh flowers, leaves, and other botanical materials. They were tasked with creating both floral bouquets and floral rangolis, demonstrating their artistic talent and creativity.
Outcomes:
The programme was a resounding success, with students displaying exceptional creativity and artistic talent. The floral bouquets and rangolis created were visually stunning and demonstrated a deep understanding of floral aesthetics. The students effectively used a wide range of botanical materials, showcasing the diversity of flora available.
