One-Day National workshop on Horticulture an Agribusiness (NWHA, 2019) was organised on 20/12/2019 by Botany Department. Programme was Inougarated by Dr. M. D. Nandikar, Scientist, NGPGR, Satara. Hon. Shree R. Y. Patil and Hon.I/C Principal Dr. G. G. Chougle are present on the Dias.
First session was started with a lecture of Dr. M. D. Nandikar who speaks on the history of Botany and Horticulture. Dr. S. V. Kambhar, Assistant professor, PG department of Botany, Basavprabhu college, Chikodi delivered a lecture on various opportunities in Horticulture and success stories of real farmers. Last lecture of the first session was given by Mr. G. M. Dhumal from Seema Biotech, Talasande. He shared his experiences in the horticulture business and advices the participants to start one.
The second session is carried out by the staff from Krushi Chikitsalaya, Radhanagari. They gave hands on training of various horticultural techniques to the participants.
The workshop ended with the valedictory function and distribution of certificates.

Faculty members and students from various colleges, B. Sc. I, II, III year students and farmers were participated.
